I got my Zoya package in the mail on Saturday! This is the fastest shipping I've ever had from them - ordered Monday, shipped Tuesday, received Saturday! The difference is - they used USPS this time rather than Fedex or whoever they normally use who is SO SLOW. I thought 6.95 for shipping was steep but it got here so fast so now I don't mind so much!
Anyways....the main reason I ordered my latest Zoya was because I was DYING to get Astra (gorgeous strawberry glittery color) so when they said they would throw in a free Ivanka and Charla, I was like well alright! I already have Ivanka but it's such a gorgeous green glitter I was like hey, I can use another! I can always give it as a gift right?! Charla is a color I was always on the fence about, I thought it looked pretty but I tend to stay away from blue as I have seen some really hideous blues in the past and they threw me off blue for (I thought) life! So the opportunity to try Charla for free, well, that was a good offer!
I immediately put Astra on one finger and Charla on another, and I was in love! I really like Astra and will swatch soon for you guys but I liked Charla so much I did a full mani as soon as I got home! It's such a pretty sparkly turquoise and makes me think of the ocean and mermaids! It is beautiful in the sunlight!
I'll take some pics tomorrow and update :)
PS. I put Ivanka on the tip of one finger and the color combo actually looks really neat! Subtle contrast but it is cool!

Planks a Lot :)
Here's a pic of my two newest polishes - OPI Planks a Lot from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection, topped with OPI silver shatter, which I had a beast of a time finding! I went into Ulta one day and they had like 20 of these, and I decided, no, I don't need that. Then I saw some pretty pics and decided I did want it! I tried like 3 different Ulta's and none of them had it, and I called them every week to see if they got it in. FINALLY one store had it in, so I went right in and bought it along with Planks a Lot, a gorgeous lavender shade!
Planks a Lot is really pretty, and seems kind of similar to Zoya's Malia. I have been wanting a pretty light shade of lavender for a while, since I only have darker shades of purple in my stash, and Planks a Lot definitely kills my lemming for a nice lilac!
This was my first time using Silver Shatter, and I think I'll definitely get better at getting it to crackle as I continue to use it! It looks really pretty over Planks a Lot, but I think it would look nicer when put over a much darker color, so you can really see the color difference!
Here you go, a nice sunshine picture! (Well, at least me standing next to the window, hence the lines behind my hand haha!)

Returned!
Hi everyone! Well the wedding is over (sad face) and we're back from the honeymoon cruise (double sad face) - on the bright side, I've gotten several new nail polishes :) I'll try and start posting again this week since life is slightly less hectic now! I'm just glad people have stopped calling me with wedding vendor questions!
Here's what I'm expecting in the mail in the coming weeks:
OPI Spark de Triomphe(!!!!! so excited!!!)
Zoya Astra
Zoya Charla
Zoya Ivanka (Charla and Ivanka were freebies in their promo!)
And I just picked up OPI Silver shatter and Planks A Lot (from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection!) this week! I'm so excited to get Spark de Triomphe, I've been seriously dying to find it for the last month but no Ulta has had it for the longest time! Finally Amber at Rainbows and Sparkles blog found it for me on Amazon because she is awesome so I ordered it - and it was only $5 plus 2.99 shipping! So that's way cheaper than Ulta sells it for before shipping, and even after shipping it's still cheaper! Yippee! :)
OK See ya guys soon with some updates - look forward to Planks a Lot plus silver shatter soon! :)

Deborah Lippmann Trio!
OK so I haven't updated for a while. I DID actually do my nails several times, but mainly I just haven't had much time to do anything that isn't either of my jobs, physical therapy for my knee, or last minute wedding planning!
While I've been gone, I did a Zoya Breezi mani, a pedi with Zoya Ali and Pippa dots, and a Zoya Ali pedi! I also decided to use Zoya Gigi for my manicure at my wedding next Sunday! I'll probably do just a normal french tips pedicure on my toes, though I am tempted to do my favorite color purple or something like that!
Anyways, the real reason I came to update was because I am SO EXCITED, I just ordered a Deborah Lippmann set of 3 mini glitters from Nordstrom! I love Deborah Lippmann colors, but the hefty price tag throws me off, so I've never bought any before. However, I saw Amber at Rainbows&Sparkles post about how she got this cute trio of Happy Birthday (all colors glitter), Bad Romance (dark purpley glitter), and Across the Universe (blue/turquoise glitter). The only way it could be better would be if it had Boom Boom Pow (gorgeous gold sparkle) in it!! It was $30 (well, $40 after the shipping and tax) and it's .33 oz per bottle apparently. Normally a .5 oz bottle is $18-20, so I thought it was a decent deal. It also comes in a cute case apparently! I'll post pics when I get it, I can't wait!! :)

Sky Blue :)
After a few days with Kieko I was ready to move on to another color. Recently I bought Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail color in Blue-Away, a pretty robin's egg blue/sky blue color from Target for like $4.50. It's a really pretty blue so I decided to do that, and a layer of Sally Hansen DVD over it, since it has that great blue/purple sparkle. The sparkle appears purple when it's over purple polish, so I figured it would appear blue when it's over blue polish - and I was right! Although it is very easy to see lines, since the glitter polish is darker than the base color.
Here is just plain old Blue-Away. I was a little heavy handed with the application so it's not the prettiest but it looks much nicer a couple days later now that it's been cleaned up!

Then I layered DVD over the top:
And finally topped it off with a generous coating of Seche Vite as usual! I LOVE this top coat! It adds an extra 3-4 days to my polish life and even then there's usually like one tiny chip at the very end of my nail, nothing too noticeable! I see people with nail polish all chipped up halfway off their fingers and I'm like, how is that possible? I mean I would be like madly scrubbing to get the polish off my hands because I hate that badly chipped look, but clearly these people don't use top coats!! I was at Ulta and the cashier and I were talking about nail polish and I said how I love Zoya and it's long-lasting self, and she said she had put her polish on two days prior, and it was beyond chipped up! Like half the polish was missing, meanwhile my Zoya manicure + Seche Vite topcoat had one TEENSY chip after like 4 days of wear PLUS being filed!!
Anyways...enough ranting! I think this mani looks nice but not my favorite. I think Blue Away would look nice as a pedicure! Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Zoya Kieko!
Not too much to say about this one, because I thought it was just ok. I really loved the Coral manicure I did before this one so the bar was set a little high, haha! I also prefer Mira to Kieko, which is funny because when I was debating on my colors to order from Zoya, I actually was like "I NEED KIEKO!" at first, and only decided to add Mira at the last minute! And now Mira is my fave :)
ANYWAYS.....here is Kieko! She photographs more like Mira, actually! In real life Kieko is a little more pinky purple, still a very pretty color, and much lighter than Mira. Of course I did my usual top coat of Seche Vite, but it looks a little dirty here, haha! Whoopsy :)

Two coats of Zoya perfection! I love their formulas :)
